Soil column experiment show ed that in albic soil, DTPAor organochelated Fe, Mn and Al w ere significantly increased when decayed alfalfa powder w as added. Soil available P w as also enhanced, mainly due to the increase of soil alu minum and iron combined P (PAl and PFe) . In albic layer, soil available P and four forms of inorganic P w ere all sig nificantly positively correlated to t he amount of added alfalfa powder, while in surface layer, only available P, PAl and PFe were significantly positively correlated to t he dose of organic material. Soil available P, PAl and PFe were signif icantly correlated to DTPA or organochelatedFe, Mn.
