At present, China has become the worlds second largest car market, and by 2030, is expected to overtake the United States, ranked first. If Chinas auto industry grows at an average annual rate of 12%, China will add 270 million new cars over the next 25 years. By 2030, Chinas total number of passenger cars could reach 287 million vehicles, about 30% of the worlds total automobiles. The industry believes that such a huge number of cars will be a great pressure on energy and the environment, China needs to adopt updated fuel saving environmental technology.
