Technique Discussion and Process Practice of Silk Dyeing at Low Liquor Ratio

Abstract The traditional dyeing of silk is usually performed on the rope dyeing machine or jig dyeing machine, and their
liquor ratios are 1 4 1 50 or higher than that. When the spray dyeing process at low liquor ratio is adopted, the liquor
ratio is only 1 2 1 3, which can greatly reduce the water consumption comparing to the traditional dyeing machine.
The problems of dyes dissolve, auxiliary agent selection and process performing which arise from it were discussed in this
paper, and the countermeasures were proposed, which have been applied on the silk dyeing process in the factory, obtaining
favorable results.
