The advantages of different analyzedmodels based on different deforma- tionmechanism s are discussed in predicting the elastic properties of auxetic foams. Based on the uniquem echanical properties, some potential applications of auxetic foam s are proposed finally. It ishoped that this paper can attract the interests of the relevant research workers in auxetic materials and promote domestic development in this field.
