交换机端口分析器(span)工作原理（Switch port analyzer (span) working principle） Switch port analyzer (SPAN) working principle The function of the switch port analyzer (SwitchedPortAnalyzer) is to provide network data stream to some network analyzer. It can either implement several source ports in a VLAN, mirror data to a monitoring port, or mirror data from a number of VLAN to a port of control. All data flows on the port 5 of the source port are mirrored to the number 10 monitoring port, and the data analysis device receives all data streams from port 5 through the monitoring port. It is worth noting that the source port and port mirroring must reside on the same switch (but there are exceptions, such as Catalyst6000 series switches); and SPAN did not affect the source port data exchange, it is only the source port to send or receive data packets to send copies to the monitoring port. In the SPAN task in the process, the user can control parameter to indicate the need to monitor the flow of data types; can also be one or more terminals, port, one or more VLAN as the source port, and the one-way or two-way data transmission from the port or receiving stream is transmitted to a monitoring port.
