基础测绘条例（Basic surveying and mapping Ordinance） Basic surveying and mapping Ordinance Order No. 556th of the State Council of the Peoples Republic of China The basic surveying and mapping Ordinance has been adopted by the sixty-second executive session of the State Council on May 6, 2009 and is hereby promulgated and shall come into force on August 1, 2009. Prime Minister Wen Jiabao Two years nine, May 12th Basic surveying and mapping Ordinance Chapter I General Provisions Article 1 in order to strengthen the management of Surveying and mapping based on specification of basic surveying and mapping activities, protection of basic surveying and mapping service to the national economic construction, national defense construction and social development, according to the Surveying and Mapping Law of Peoples Republic of China, the enactment of this ordinance. These second regulations shall apply to the basic surveying and mapping activities conducted in the territory of the Peoples Republic of China and other sea areas under the jurisdiction of the Peoples Republic of China. The basic surveying and mapping in this Regulation refers to the establishment of a unified national surveying and mapping system, based on aerial photography, remote sensing data acquisition of basic geographic information, mapping and updating the national basic scale maps, image maps and digital products, establishing and updating the basic geographic information system. Other areas in Peoples Republic of China, Peoples Republic of China waters on the landward side to the baselines of the territorial sea coastline and Peoples Republic of China under the jurisdiction of the marine surveying and mapping activities, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State Council and the Central Military commission.
