Abstract: T o study the relat ionship between f luorosis and hepatocyt e apoptosis and morpholo ical chan es in meat ducks,
160 8dayold T ianfu meat ducks w ere chosen and randomly divided into four roups, and 0, 350, 450 and 550 m of sodium
fluoride w ere added to conventional diet ary per k respect ively. After challen e five ducks w ere killed in each roup every ei ht
day and T dTmediated dUTP nick endlabelin ( T UNEL) method w as used for experimental fluorosis liver t issue handlin and
labelin . Percenta e of hepat ocyte apoptosis and morpholo ical chan es w ere detected on the 24th, 40th and 56th day w ith the
li ht microscope. T UNEL results showed that DA B st ainin positive cells appeared typical morpholo ical characteristics and
the percenta e of apoptosis cell increased obviously compared w ith t he control roup. Fluorosis in meat ducks mainly caused
early and middle hepatocyte apoptosis. W ith time extension and dose increase, sodium fluoride accelerat ed apoptosis of hepato
cyte and developed into necr
