口腔病理学0601（Oral pathology 0601） Fourteenth unit oral and maxillofacial tumor Section 1 odontogenic tumors Ameloblastoma A benign but locally infiltrative growth of pleomorphic tumor The clinical manifestation was painless and progressive enlargement of the jaw. Swelling develops towards the lips and cheeks, while the compression of the bone absorbs and thins. The typical image of the X-ray film is polycystic bone lesions. The root area of the tumor can be absorbed, and the teeth with the buried teeth are similar to those with cyst. Pathology The size of the tumor is different from the naked eye. It can be as big as a small finger to a childs head. The section usually has two parts: cystic and solid. The cystic area contains yellow or tan liquid, and the solid part is white or gray. Microscopically: the histologic findings of ameloblastoma are different. The neoplastic epithelium usually forms an epithelial island of unequal size, or a network of epithelial cords, which is similar in shape to the organ of the glaze. Because of the different organizational structures, they are often classified into the following two types. (I) follicular (follicular) The neoplastic epithelium forms an isolated epithelium, island, or follicle, each of which resembles a glaze organ: The central part of an epithelial Island: composed of polygonal or polygonal cells, resembling the reticular layer of the enamel organ.
