Random collection of seven counties (cities) in jilin area designated slaughterhouses apparent healthy pigs palatine tonsil, 960 after enrichment culture using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to streptococcus suis type of identification and serum agglutination test the re-inspection, the collection and analysis of the epidemic materials for testing. Results: from the nine districts in jilin area (city) acquisition of check out of a total of 900 samples of pig tonsil 46 strains of streptococcus suis, detection rate was 5.11%, including 15 strains of streptococcus suis type 2 (32.6%), 8 strains of streptococcus suis type 7 (17.3%), 3 strains of streptococcus suis type 9 (6.5%), 20 strains of undetermined serotype (43.5%). Conclusion: the apparent in jilin area healthy swine pathogen rate was 5.11% on average, streptococcus suis type 2 as the main serotype.
