The visible light irra diation did not affect effect on the survivability of the cells and the activity of xanthine dehydrogenase . For the degradation of hypoxanthine , the optimal temperature and p H were 35 ℃and 80 respectively. The xanthine dehydrogenase of the immobilized cells was stable when the p H was in the range of 60 —80 and at temperature below 40 ℃. The remained activity of the enzyme was 9499 % after ten batches of operation for degradation of hypoxanthine ,and the average degradation rate of hypoxanthine was 9919 %.
