Methods the distribution and expression of IL-14R in peripheral blood lymphocyte of 30 normal subjects and 43 patients with SLE were analyzed by using anti IL-14R monoclonal antibody (BA5). The percentage of IL-14R positive cells in peripheral blood of patients with SLE (22.56%) was significantly higher than that of normal subjects (7.84%). There were also significant differences in the percentage of IL-14R expression in the SLE between the active and the remission phases (32.02% and 13.09%). Conclusion BA5 monoclonal antibody can antagonize the high expression of IL-14R and the secretion of IgG after activation of B cells. It is possible to regulate the abnormal function of B cells by blocking and regulating the expression of IL-14R with BA5 monoclonal antibodies, thus providing a new approach for immunotherapy and detection.
