Gong Yaoxian introduced WAIS in 1979 and completed the revision in 1981, known as the Chinese revised Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-RC) [2]. The scale has been rapidly applied by some units in China and has played an active role in clinical, scientific research and judicial appraisal [3]. Here only WAIS-RC in Chinas promotion and application of a summary analysis, in order to understand the WAIS-RC in the domestic application, trends, applications, application areas and geographical conditions. Data collection and analysis method The promotional materials for WAIS-RC (1981 - 1998) were provided by the medical psychology research center of Hunan medical university. Using WAIS-RC as a tool of scientific papers published by China biomedical literature database (1981 ~ 1998) retrieval, and the Chinese Journal of Neurology and psychiatry, China, Journal of nervous and mental diseases, mental health journal Journal of psychology Chinese and China Journal of clinical psychology and other important periodical Manual Supplement retrieval, a total of 106 papers. The application of WAIS-RC in practice was part of a survey in 1998 and received 50 valid questionnaires.
