Abstract: In this paper, a study of the calculation on the acoustic radiation problem caused by random vibrating body is present,based
on the statistical boundary point method ( SBPM) put forw ard by the author for the first time.T he SBPM is introduced in detail in
this paper.Taking a random vibrating sphere w hose distribution of the power spectral density function of the vibrating speed on the
surface are known as an example,the paramenters in its random sound fields are calculated. The conclusion from the comparison be-
tw een the calculating results,the analytic solutions and those of the statistical boundary element method ( SBEM) shows that the cal-
culating precision of the SBPM is much better than that of the SBEM in a w ide rang of vibrating frequencies for the acoustic radiation
problem caused by random vibrating body w ith the same division of the boundary surface.
