Key idea of our m ethod is that the m esh shou ld adapt the solutions hara ter and have som e sm oothness. The d istribution of the nodes is gotten by a variational problem, w hose Eu lerLagrange equation is the new moving m esh equation. Why and how to form the new m ethod is in trodu ed in details. Num eri al results in twopoint boundary prob lem s and boundary layer problem s are very en ouraging and learly to show that in m any ases them ethod an on trol them esh m otion.
