Unit 6 Growing Up
Lesson 1
教案
Teaching aims:
1. Master language of daily greetings.
Key vocabulary and phrases:
was born, started to speak, learned to walk, learned to ride a bike, went to kindergarten, went to school, learned to swim, fifteenth.
2. Be skilled in oral expression of greetings.
Language points:
1.词汇:was born, started to speak, learned to walk, learned to ride a bike, went to kindergarten, went to school, learned to swim, fifteenth.
2句型:
I ... when I was one year old.
3.语法: 部分动词过去式的使用。
Analysis of key items and difficulties of teaching:
Function: Greetings in students’ daily life.
Listening: Students can understand others’ greetings by listening.
Speaking: Students can introduce themselves and greet with others.
Character building:
Motivate students’ interest in learning English. Make friends with all students.
Teaching steps(教学步骤)
1. Vocabulary study:
Step 1: Play the recording and have them point out the words and phrases in Activity 1.
Step 2: Play the recording again and have them read after the tape.
Step 3: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in PPT.
Step 4: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in Activity6 and check their answer with their partner.
2. Dialogue study:
Step 1: Practice the dialogue with the whole class and have them make corresponding reacts.
Step 2: Have students to practise the previous dialogue with their partner.
Play a game:
Invite Ss to practise the dialogues:
S1: I learned to speak when I was one year old.
S2: I leaned to speak when I was 13 months old.
S3: I learned to ride a bike when I was 7. What about you?
S4: I learned to ride a bike at 11years old.
T: I learned to swim when I was 11 years old.
S: I went to school when I was 7.
...
4. Presentation.
Show a picture with Eric, let Ss guess what Eric wants to say to us.
The answer is “learn to speak” or “learn to walk” Then help them to say: “learn to speak” or “learn to walk”
Homework:
根据这节课所学句型编写一段对话。
