Lesson 45: Lets Sort Garbage!
教案
教学目标
1. 能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:empty,litter。
2. 能了解如何用英语介绍垃圾分类的情况。
3. 能介绍自己参加的垃圾分类活动。
教学重难点
1. 掌握一些与介绍垃圾分类有关的重点词汇:sort,waste,find,throw,collect。
2. 运用所学知识介绍自己参加的垃圾分类活动的情况。
3. 掌握以下重点句子:
They need to throw away only one small bag of garbage.
People throw too much away.
It is a waste to use paper only on one side.
When I finish fixing this car, I will give it to my little cousin, Debbie.
教学准备
录音机,幻灯片,图片。
教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
Discuss the following questions:
1. What do you do with your garbage?
2. What kinds of things can be recycled and reused?
Show some pictures of sorting garbage. The students discuss the questions in groups,then present their results in front of the class. The styles are different. They can be dialogues or reports. Step 2 Listening
Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the dialogue. At the same time, fill in the blanks with the words you hear:
1. How did Danny and Jenny feel after they sorted the garbage?
2. What garbage is the most amount?
3. What did Danny find in the garbage?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3 Reading
Read the passage and answer the following questions:
1. How much garbage will they throw away?
2. What is the least amount in the garbage?
3. What is the effect to leave broken glass on the roads? Read the passage and finish the task in class orally.
Step 4 Practice
Make a note to introduce how to sort garbage.
Work in groups to finish the task. After a while, some groups present their notes in front of the class.
When the students are writing, the teacher walks around the classroom to solve the problems that probably happen.
Step 5 Come to “Let’s Do It!”
Read the lesson again and do Exercise 1.
Finish off Exercise 2 together.
Step 6 Homework
1. Think about the project in “Let’s Do It!”
2. Write a note to introduce how to sort garbage.
