Most of studies showed changes of lipid profile in subclinical hypothyroidism. Elevation of lipid profile such as LDL-C and apoB induces atherosclerosis and is a major cause of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, therefore we should put emphasis on the impact of subclinical hypothyroidism on lipid profile.
