Owing to the DC Motor has a good start, speed control and braking performance in all types of mechanic/electrical systems ,the DC Motor has been widely used in a variety of household appliances, electronic equipment, electronic toys, video recorders, as well as a variety of industrial space in the field of automatic control. Studying DC motor’s control and measurement methods has great significance for improving control accuracy and response time, energy conservation and so. This article introduced the principle of the DC Motor’s speed measurement by the MCU and the use of PWM speed control technology of DC motor speed control methods. This design achieved the measurement of speed and speed regulation for the common DC motor which took MCU as the control core, and providing a basis to further study and optimization of the DC motor control method.
