A series of constructions were implemented, such as Ruhr area transformation, Neu-Oerlikon urban area development, Staßfurter city center transformation and Zurich MFO park construction projects. However, many problems arising in this construction have provoked reflective thoughts among landscape architects. Upon this context, this paper aims to explore the positioning of landscape design discipline and obtain some experience from the diversified planning transformation through a practice review of selected projects in different periods and from different planning backgrounds.
