专题21必修Unit 1 Great scientists conclude vt.vi．得出结论；结束；断定 ①He concluded from their remarks that they were not in favor of the plan．他从他们的话语中推断出他们不赞同这项计划。 ②The meeting concluded with The Internationale．大会在《国际歌》歌声中结束。 归纳拓展 conclusion n．结论 conclude from从……中得出结论 in conclusion=to conclude在结束时，最后 draw/come to/arrive at/reach/make a conclusion得出结论 (2)beat和defeat同义，也是及物动词，其后面的宾语也是“对手”，表示结果。beat sb in…在比赛、战斗、争论中击败某人。beat each enemy击败每一个敌人。如： We beat/defeated their team by 10 points．我们领先十分战胜了他们队。 (3)win表示在较激烈的竞争中取得胜利，其后跟的宾语不能是表示人的名词。如win a/an war/battle/game/match/argument/victory或win the prize/100 yuan/a
