L. A. , Chengd u 611937, Ch ina) A bstrac t: A l- Si- Y coating were prepared on nickel- base superalloy by Vacuum Arc Plating. The hot- corrosion properties w ere checked out through coating salts test, and them icrostructure and the chem ical composition of the A l- Si- Y coating w ere testby SEM and X- ray energy spectrometer. Hot corrosion behavior of a nickel- base superalloy and A l- Si- Y coating w as studied under Na l andNa SO containing depesits at 900e . The results show that the coating has good hot- corrosion resist- 2 4 ance, and coated specmi ensw ere not susceptible to the contents of Na l in saltsm ixtures due to the formation ofA l O scale on 2 3 the surface.
