* Slide Objective: Demonstrate the ability to combine PAM II with SATA disk drives under a file services workload to reduce costs without compromising performance. We tested PAM II with SATA disk drives under an industry standard, file services workload (SPECsfs2008_nfs) to demonstrate that you can achieve performance comparable to a configuration with Fibre Channel disk drives while reducing the purchase price and operating cost of the storage system. The system under test was a dual-controller (active-active HA) FAS3160A storage system. First we tested it with just high performance Fibre C
