Grounding range and workmanship requirements Grounding range 2.1.1grounding equipment The metal shell of equipments which rated voltage is over 50V shall be efficient grounding to the hull. Equipments which rated voltage is not over 50V may be not grounding, such as the potable equipment with double insulation and strengthening insulation, lamp holder, and the lamp shade installed on lamp base made of nonconductor material and covered with nonconductor material or on the illumination equipments and viewfinders etc. The electric equipment installed in the damp spot, in even on the steel base shall also be grounding with cable, such as the electric equipment in the galley and the washing equipment. Anti-exploded electric equipment in even installed on the steel base shall be grounding with cable. 2.1.2 cable grounding The metal shell and the screen shade and the armour of cable shall be efficient grounding with cable. The metal duct and the metal groove for fixing cable shall be efficient grounding to the hull. The metal shell and the shield and the armour of cable can not be used as protection of equipments. Request of grounding workmanship 2.2.1 the protecting grounding and the working grounding of electric equipment shall be connected to the perpetual structure of hull or welded to the foundation or bracket of hull. 2.2.2 the grounding points shall be chosen in the place where is easy to be checked and not easy to be damaged by machine, the binding post or broad for special grounding shall not be fixed on the hull plate below the upper con
