Zhenlai county in J ilin Province is taken as a typical area to explore t he universal land use p attern under ecological security in ecotone between agriculture and animal husbandry in Nort heastern China . Remote sensing data , relative t hematic map s and corresponding socialeconomical statisitical and planning data were collected , and grey linear programming ( GL P) model , toget her wit h t he synt hetic index estimating met hod was applied to develop an optimal land use model to evaluate t he ecological security and analyze decision . The land use structure and optimal sp atial allocation p attern of Zhenlai county in t he year of 20 10 regarded as a land use p attern under ecological security were simulated out by t he mat hematical models applied .
