六年级英语兴趣班小组活动教案 Planting Trees Aims and demands: 1.Enable pupils to describe the process of doing things 2.Be able to plant trees. 3.By the end of this period pupils are able to be careful of trees. Importance and difficulties: 1.Grammar: past tense (to do/have). 2.How did you plant it? We dug a deep hole… 3.How often did you water the tree? Once/Four times a day. 4.Why did they plant trees? Because they wanted to stop the wind and sands. 5.Words and phrases: plant, invite, grow, turn, dig (dug), deep, earth, step, water, how, often, peach, be full of, ripe, leaf (leaves), take care of, wind, sand Teaching Tools: Recorder, tapes, slide, cards, pictures, computer. Teaching steps: 1.Warming-up: 1).Greetings. 2).A Rhyme: Little Trees 3).Ask and answer: Talk about where and how to spend the Spring Festival. 2.New materials 1). Learn the new words. What word is this? (Showing the pictures and let pupils to guess and read) 2). Let pupils listen to the recording and then answer the following questions: a.When is the Tree Planting Day? b.What are they doing? c.Whose tree is growing well? d.Whose tree is the tallest? e.Is Mike’s tree growing well, too? f.Can you plant a tree? How? g.How often do you water the little trees? h.What should we do to the trees?
