Chaos([ke??s] n.混乱)in Tourism Market In the picture a fierce(adj.凶猛的;暴躁的) guide is holding a knife towards a terrified tourist. Saying “give me money, or I’ll pull a knife to your throat” It is not uncommon to witness such an illegal behavior in daily life. The picture reflects(v.反射;表达) a worrisome phenomenon in our society: tourists are often squeezed(v..勒索;压榨)for money during their trips. Reasons resulting in serious chaos in tourism market can be summarized(v.总结;概述) as the following. From the individual (adj.个别的;个人的)point, some tourists who love to take petty(adj.琐碎的;小气的) advantages are attracted by lower prices. However, the target(n.目标)of businessmen is to maximize their profit. They will not get a bad deal(v.处理;对待;n.交易). Moreover, in the aspect of the government, its regulatory(adj.管理的)inaction(n.不作为)fuels(n.燃料)such a mess instead of controlling and eradicating(v.根除;消灭)cruel guides thoroughly. Fortunately, China’s Travel Law eventually comes into being.
