The Real Time Monitor Alerts functionality allows you to build alarm policies based on when the real-time counters in the Clavister Security Gateway’s reaches your self-defined threshold. This functionality works on all counters including CPU utilization, temperature values, packets per second, bandwidth etc. (also works on inverted situation such as the number of packets forwarded being 0 or abnormally low in a high-traffic load network.) This helps you to respond to situations before the get out of your hand. Let’s say that you want to know when the temperature reaches 80% of the maximum operating temperature or 10 degrees above what you know is normal. All you do is that you define the counter, set the thresholds and choose the alarm message you want to send.
