In addition, on the diaphragm wall appeared multiple continuous bends. As a result, all those factors have contributed to difficulties during construction of the station. Although necessary consideration and operations about the potential risks were conducted prior to deep excavation, an accident occurred on Sept. 8, 2005 that could still have been effectively avoided. Taking the accident at the Luzhou line’s St. Ignatius High School Station as an example, this paper introduces related follow-up remedial measures and reviews the application of the Superjet-Midi (SJM) grouting method to the construction site returning to its original condition, and serving as a reference for later station excavation.
