Step I Lead-in (5 mins)
Greetings,asking some questions and showing some pictures.
T: Good morning everybody!

T: Do you like traveling? If you were given a chance where you would most like to go?
Listen to the students’ answers and give them some information about Xiamen.
Information1: This city lies in the southeast of Fujian province.
Information2: It is a coastal city, which is beautiful and clean.
Information3: It enjoys the title of the National Garden City.
Information4: It’s famous for the Gulangyu Island, which is also called Sea Garden.
Step II Fast Reading (15 mins)
Ask the students to skim the dialogue alone and do exercise 1 and scan the dialogue and do exercise 2 on page 33.
