It adopts linear projective maps and optmi ally preserves the local str ct re and the global information of the data set smi ltaneo sly. DMM C tries to find the intrinsic m anifold that discrmi inates d ifferent face classes best by m axmi izing the bewt eenclass scatter and m inmi izing the w ithinclass scatter. The recogn ition rate of the proposed algorithm exceeds those of the single PCA, Fisherfaces, MM C and LPP greatly. Expermi ental res lts onYALE and JAFFE face databases ind icate that the proposed algorithm is effective.
