The last flight was recorded at September 24 from Boeing field. However this is one month later than anticipated by Boeing (estimated total flight testing time was calculated at 3 months, according the flight test video, posted at the Boeing website). Hopefully the improved PIP GEnx-2B engines will be certificated in October. The flight line at Everett becomes more and more crowded by - engine-less - 747-8 freighter airframes, partly scheduled to be delivered in November and December, before the Christmas cargo surge, so not much time remains for engine installation and flight testing of these airframes. No first (B1) flight were recorded in August and September. No new firing orders are allocated by Boeing.
