King Lear is one of the four great famous tragedies of Shakespeare’s and personality tragedy. The reason of tragedy has internal cause and external cause?personality cause of leading character . In King Lear, figures have rich ideological content and distinct character. The author is good at using the characters’ activities, relationship and words to show their nature. This paper analyzes characters from their different aspects to reflect figure’s personality features. King Lear’s personality weakness resulted in making a wrong decision, from then on, his tragedy began. Codelia’s words and behaviors reflect het kindness and rationality. Regan and Goneril like two poisonous snakes, they must be cruel and crafty. Key words: William Shakespeare; King Lear; character analysis 摘要 莎士比亚是文艺复兴时期最伟大和成就最高的剧作家。《李尔王》是莎士比亚著名的四大悲剧之一,也是一部性格悲剧。悲剧的成因有外因，也有内因—主人公性格本身的原因。《李尔王》中的人物形象，包含着丰富的思想内容，又有着鲜明的性格特征。作者善于通过人物的活动、相互关系和语言来展示他们的本质。本文从人物不同的方面来分析，来展现主人公们的性格特点。李尔王性格上的弱点导致他做出了错误的决定，他的悲剧也就开始了。不论是考迪利亚的话语，还是她的行为都体现出的是她的善良，理性。里根和高纳里尔，这俩个像毒蛇一样的女人，她们拥有的也只有残忍和奸诈。 关键词：威廉莎士比亚；李尔王；人物分析 Introdu
