Factor Analysis of Production in Sci-tech and Innovation Between Jiangsu
province and Shanghai city

Abstract: On the basis of the method of factor analysis--chain substitution, we analysis positvely
and compare the factors of sci-tech inputs and new productions in big or mid factories between
Jiangsu province and Shanghai city. The following results are obtained: the contribution to Jiangsu
province which comes from sic-tech members and funds of every reserch and development
members is more than the contribution to Shanghai city , but the contribution to Shanghai city
which comes from proportion of reserch and development members in sci-tech members and the
outputs of each funds is more than the contribution to Jiangsu province.
