Most of them are related to atherosclerosis. Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Appropriate 70% of these deaths are related to atherosclerosis. Figure 4 shows Percentages and numbers of deaths worldwide from stroke and other leading causes. We all know cardiovascular diseases are still the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide.
