School of Management, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116024, China) Abstract: In connection with the characteristics and operation mechanism of tourism enterprises, this paper develops an index system for the evaluation of tourism enterprises competitiveness on the basis of the enterprise competitiveness theory and the value chain theory. To reflect the core competence of tourism enterprises by combining qualitative and quantitative indexes the resources and latent competitiveness are introduced into the evaluation system. Finally, to overcome the deficiencies of previous evaluation, analytic network process is used to establish an evaluation model on the competitiveness of tourism enterprises, which takes the interactions between indicators of int erdependence relations into account, so that index weight calculation results are more accurate and reasonable. The final model would be of reference values in helping tourism business managers to improve and enhance the competitiveness of tourism enterprises.
