This paper looks into the relationship between the fact that Fujiannese emigrated to Guangdong in the period of Song Dynasty and the Mazu Belief spread to Guangdong, and then summarizes the rise and distribution of Mazu Temples in different regions of Guangdong, finally the paper discusses the syncretization between the worship of Mazu and the regional culture of Guangdong and present the evolution of Mazu Belief in Guangdong.
