Teaching materials Task1 Introduce the different functions of V-ing and V-ed. V-ing在句中可作主语、宾语、表语、定语、状语和宾语补足语等。用作主语和宾语时,具有名词的属性;用作表语和定语时,具有形容词的属性。当V-ing在句中作表语、定语、状语和宾语补足语时,有时要改为 V-ed. Task2 analyze the functions of V-ing and V-ed one by one through examples and do some exercises 主语 Examples: Seeing is believing. Traveling abroad can be very exciting. It’s a great fun sailing a boat.(It为形式主语) Exercise: 1._____________ (play) with fire is dangerous. 2._____________ (talk)for hours at a stretch is more exhausting than you think. 3.__________ (save) is having.(节约即是收入) 4.It’s no good ____________ (object). 5.It’s no use ___________ (hear) English spoken. 6.t being Saturday rather annoys me. 宾语 Example: 1.Have you finished reading the book? 2.Would you mind closing the door? 下列词或结构后要求用V-ing: Finish; mind; give up; avoid; keep; enjoy; admit; consider; miss; postpone; be busy; put off; be worth; feel like; It’s no good/use; 介词后如果有动词需要用 V-ing形式,如: Succeed in; warry about; think of; insist on; believe in; prevent sb.(from); admit to; look forward to; be busy; put off; object to; devote…to doing; be accustomed to; be used to; pay attention to; have trouble/ difficulty (in); prefer doing… to… Exercise: 1.A person certainly loses when he give up _____
