(ANIMATION) In this example, ads will show for the keyword ‘books’, because the keyword’s maximum CPC is $3.87 while the daily budget of the campaign is $10. (ANIMATION) However, the ad will not show for the keyword ‘writer’, because the keyword’s maximum CPC of $12 is higher than the campaign’s daily budget. (next slide) If your ad is not showing in relation to particular keywords within an Ad Group, check their status. Find the keyword within your Ad Group, and use the status column to determine the status of the keyword. (ANIMATION) If a keyword is disapproved, ads will not be shown for that keyword. Refer to the emails you have received for instructions on how to re-enable a disapproved keyword. (ANIMATION) If a keyword is deleted, it also will not show any ads. You will need to re-add the deleted keyword to your Ad Group to re-enable it. (ANIMATION) In addition, ads are not shown for keywords which have been disabled. Keywords can be disabled if Google predicts they will not accrue a CTR above the minimum required threshold. For more details on how this works, please see the module on Keyword States. If your keyword is disabled, Google recommends refining the keyword in question to better target your intended audience. For tips on how to refine your keyword list, see the training modules on ‘Optimization.’ (next slide) On the edit campaign settings page, (ANIMATION) you can view and edit the end date for a campaign, by using the dropdown menus shown here.
