[ABSTRACT] BACKGROUNDOBJECTIVE：Livertransplantation (L-T)is
thebesttreatmentforhepatocellularcarcinoma (HCC)，however，prognostic
factorsandselectionofpatientswithHCC forLTarecontroversia1．Thisstudy
wasto summarizeourexperienceofLT forHCC， and identify prognostic
factors． METHODS： The clinicaIand follow—up data of98 patientswho
underwentLTforHCC betweenFeb．1999andDec．2004inourcenterwere
analyzed retrospectively．TheirsuwivaIrateswere calculatedbyKaplan．Meier
method． Log-ranktestandCoxpropoaionalhazardsregressionmodelwere
performed to analyze prognostic factors ofHCC after LT． AIl a1istical
evaluationswereperformed usingSPSS10．0statisticaIsoftware． RESULTS：
Thefollow·uptimerangedfrom 1to78months(median，37．6months)．The
mortalitywas31．6％．Therecurrenceratewas52．0％．The 1．．3．．and5一year
survivaIrateswere84．9％ ， 49．3％ ， and33．2％ ， respectively． Univariate
analysisshowedthatpo~alveintumorthrombus( )，tumorsize，selldm
alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)level，pTNM stage，andhistologicaldifferentiation
wereprognosticfactorsof HCC afterLT． MultivariateCoxregressionan
