Abstract oday all sect ors of society rely increasingly on information exchanging. his situation raises demands for
communication netw orks capable of transmitting information more and more t imely and accurately. SDH selfhealing protec
t ion is one of the methods propposed for keeping modern highvolume fiberoptic netw ork safe and survivable. Subchannel
protection of selfhealing ring and multiplex section shared protection ring. his paper describes the classification of selfheal
ing, selfhealing mechanism of the structure and protection, w hile the structure of the various selfhealing features, applica
t ion environments, such as analysis and comparison made for the project reference.
