I’m from Zhejiang, China, and my hometown has a beautiful name—Xitang. Xitang is an ancient town living for thousand years. Originated in the Tang Dynasty, it keeps the buildings from that time . You can see the bridges, the lanes and covered corridors everywhere. When you go there, it seems like you are back to the ancient time. This is the lane. In Xitang, the most special thing is the Mist and Rain Corridor. You will never find it in anywhere besides Xitang. It is the evening view of the coridor. There are lots of bridges in Xitang, which connect the whole town. Outside of each hourse there are lots of lanterns, in China, it means happy and auspicious. And at evening, they will be lighted on and make the town bright. It is the flower lantern. When you light the lantern and put it on the lake, you can make a wish, and if the lantern does not turn over or extinguish, you wish will come true. Every night, thousands of flower lanterns will be put on the lake, which looks so beautiful in the evening. I like the night view most. In the evening, the setting sunshine, boats, lights and all of them make the town looks like a dreamlike picture. Next, I’d like to introduce something special to you. The first one is the Black—awning boat It has a canopy on the top to avoid the sunshine and the rain. These boats are still being used now days. The second is the cormorant（鸬鹚） Believe it or not, they are good friends to fishermen and can help them catch fishes. Last but not the least, which is my favorite—Zong zi. It is made of rice and pork, sometimes peanuts. We use the leaf of bamboo to wrap it. It is delicious and famous in China. Do you like my hometown?
