He broke the antinomy state between Classical style and Romantic style in the music tradition and created his own music style. As one of the most invaluable piano works by Brahms, piano works op. 118 displays the balance between Classical style and Romantic style. Furthermore, it represents the national style. This article contains five chapters to research piano works op.118.Chapter one is a summary of the composing of piano works op.118, mainly introducing the society background and the compose background at the time. Chapter two is the text analysis of piano works op.118, including music image, text structure, tonality, mode and harmony form .Chapter three reflects the style of piano works op.118, showing the diversity of music style in this piece. Chapter four is about humanism significance of piano works op.118, digging into its deep meaning. Chapter five gives notice on the performance of piano works op.118 for practice guidance.
