They were dressed in dark glasses and old clothes because they did not want to be recognized. 3. What did they plan to do by that dry river? They planned to have a picnic. 4. Did they have their picnic at the shady spot in the end? Why or why not? No, they didn’t, because the sheriff appeared and ordered them to move out immediately.
