More t han 200 sp ecimens of plant seedling drop ,root rot and sheat h bling has been collected from 13 provinces (municip alities) and 58 district s (counties) from 1982 - 1995 in China . 162 strains of R hiz octonia were identified by Ogoshi ’s strandard strains and t he met hods. These isolates were di vided into multinucleates ( R . solani) , belonging to A G - 1IA ,A G - 1IB ,A G - 1IC ,A G - 2 - 1 ,A G - 2 - 2 ,A G - 4 and A G - 5 and binucleates ( R hiz octonia spp . ) belonging to A GA , A GB (0) , A GD ,A GF ,A GG and A GK , resp ectively . The host plant s of t hese isolates consist of 26 family , 52 genera and 58 sp ecies. There was t he evident of p arasitic sp ecifit y for host s in p art A Gs of R hi z octonia. There was little difference of t he identical A G strains under t he effect of temp erature , while t here was greater difference among t he distinct A Gs under t he effect of temp erature . The p ar asitic sp ecifity for host s in R hiz octonia ’s A Gs was distinctly affected by temp erature changes.
