Audiences sometimes refer to her by her English name, Vicki Zhao (sometimes spelled Vicky Zhao). She has been awarded the Hundred Flowers Award, Shanghai Film Critics Award, Huabiao Award, Golden Eagle TV Award as well as Shanghai Film Festival Golden Globe, amongst others. Born and raised in Wuhu, Anhui, China, She graduated from Teachers’ College Elementary School (芜湖师范附小 ) and Teachers’ College High School (芜湖市第十七中学 ). Zhao studied dancing for 3 years, piano for 6 years.
