June 2013Dear Parents,What a fabulous year. It is incredible that the weeks, seasons, semesters and school year pass so quickly.? I really enjoyed teaching our wonderful students. Everyone has had a successful year! I am very happy to see their progress, and I am quite proud of each and every one of them. It is always a pleasure to be a Mandarin teacher at CoIS.During the month of May, Student have achieved well with Principled, Inquirers and Risk takers. Students worked very hard on MultiBee, taking HSK test, final exam, and end of year show and year book design. They have done great jobs. I am so proud of them.In the school year (2012-2013):Students took the HSK test and did a great job. Their performance is a testament to the successes of the immersion program at our school.Go to this website and use your test ID to check the score. The certificate will mail to school in July./index.doImmersion Trip: We went on several interesting field trips. The overnight field Trip to Highlands Park was fun and stimulating and the students gained many new experiences.Each month we held a tea party and have learned the history, geography, culture, and language of countries. Our students are open-minded, and well-balanced. They are becoming knowledgeable, confident, and thoughtful, inquirers and communicators. National Geographic Bee and Multi language Bee was fun and challenging. Social poetry was exciting. Students have had the chance to learn about the world and demonstrate their multilingual skill. I am glad to say that each student has worked very hard throughout the year, and they have all met their goals. Congratulations to students for their continuing scholarship in CoIS.Thank you so much for allowing me to have one of my best professional years as an educator.
