Department of CT, Yuzhou Peoplecs Hospital,Hecnan 461670, P.R.China = Abstract Objective: To analyse the factors influencing the curative effect of the puncture sclerosing therapy of renal cyst under CT guidance and the prevention of complications. Methods:96 renal cysts in 135 cases were treated by using sclerosing a- gent anhydrous alcohol ( 99.7%) under CT guidance. Renal cysts of 2. 8cm~ 12.0cm in diameter were aspirated using a 20G suction needle. After aspiration, anhydrous alcohol was injected with 25.0% of the amount of aspirated fluid. Renal cyst of over 300ml fluid needed to be aspirated repeatedly until thefluid was clear.Results:In follow-up of 51 cases, the effective ratewas 94. 1% and renal cyst disappeared in 84.3% of the cases. o serious complications were observed.
