We both had donethe math, and--Kelly added it all up.She knew she hadto let me go.I added it up,knew that Id--Id lost her.Cause I was never gonnaget off that island.I was gonna die there,totally alone.I mean, I was gonna get sick orI was gonna get injured or something.The only choice I had,the only thingI could control...was when and how...and wherethat was gonna happen.So... I made a rope.And I went up to the summitto hang myself.But I had to test it,you know ?Of course.You know me.And the weight of the log..snapped the limbof the tree.So I-I--I couldnt even kill myselfthe way I wanted to.I had power over nothing.And thats when this feelingcame over me like a warm blanket.I knew...somehow...that I had to stay alive.Somehow.I had to keep breathing,even though there wasno reason to hope.And all my logic said thatI would never see this place again.So thats what I did.I stayed alive.I kept breathing.And then one daythat logic was proven all wrong,because the tide...came in,gave me a sail.And now, here I am.Im back...in Memphis, talking to you.I have ice in my glass.And Ive lost herall over again.Im so sad thatI dont have Kelly.But Im so grateful thatshe was with me on that island.And I knowwhat I have to do now.I gotta keep breathing.Because tomorrow,the sun will rise.Who knows what the tidecould bring ?
