The characteristics and requirements of the language of business letter have its unique form. And the writing forms and methods of business letter writing are become more and more important. This passage based on previous studies of politeness principle, analyzed the characteristic and the role of politeness principle in business letter. For politeness principle can be paid special attention in business letter writing.
