the second largest global market for these products by 2020. China should there-
fore be a strategic focus for medtech players over the next decade.
An Evolving Landscape
As the Chinese government continues to push health care reform, the midmarket
in medtech will grow rapidly, with both fast-rising local companies and multi-
nationals vying for penetration and dominance. This will prompt changes in how
